Write to @SpamBot. The bot does not always display a restriction, even if limitations are already in effect. If the bot does confirm a restriction, you will be able to submit an appeal to have it lifted. If the restriction is justified, you will have to wait until it is removed.
As a rule: the first block lasts from 1 to 3 days; with repeated restrictions, the duration increases; with systematic violations, the account may be blocked permanently.
We recommend connecting another Telegram account that can be used to message clients while the main number is under restrictions. This will allow you to continue working with clients.
Telegram applies restrictions when an account receives a large number of spam complaints, sends mass identical messages, frequently creates new chats by phone number, shows high activity for a newly registered account, or sends broadcasts without recipients’ consent. Complaints may come not only from private chats, but also from groups, channel comments, and chat invitations.
The duration of restrictions depends on the severity of the violation and the account’s age — from temporary sanctions to full blocking. The first violation usually results in minimal measures. Repeated violations lead to stricter penalties and may result in permanent blocking (permanent ban) or account deactivation.
During the first 1–3 days after registration, Telegram may limit account activity. This is most often related to the previous owner’s number history, the use of a virtual number, or high activity immediately after account creation. In such cases, it is recommended to contact @SpamBot. As a rule, restrictions are lifted automatically after a few days with normal activity. Increase account activity gradually.
During the first days after registration, it is recommended to:
send no more than 5–10 messages per day to different users;
invite no more than 50 people to groups per day.
If a Telegram account is restricted, you will not be able to message clients first by phone number. In this case, you can only message by username, mutual contacts (when both users have saved each other’s number), and reply to incoming messages.
To reduce the risk of blocking, it is recommended to use a “warmed-up” Telegram account: the account should be registered for more than 3 days, have active conversations, and have no history of restrictions. New accounts are more likely to be restricted, especially when sending mass messages to a large number of clients within a short period. It is recommended to use physical SIM cards. Telegram treats virtual numbers more strictly — such accounts are more frequently restricted.
For stable operation, increase activity gradually; do not combine mass messaging and active sales from the same account; use multiple channels under high load; prioritize messaging by username.
Step 1. Go to @SpamBot → open the chat → press Start (/start).
Step 2. Important: Spambot does not always display restrictions immediately, even if they are already in effect. If the bot says everything is fine — check again later.
If the bot shows a restriction, you can submit an appeal there.

Check whether two-factor authentication is disabled.

If the code does not arrive — do not request it several times in a row. Try again in a few hours.

Try connecting another number. If the issue persists with another number — contact ChatApp Support.

If everything works with another number — contact Telegram Support.

If you entered the wrong code — request a new one via the “Verify” button and enter the most recently received code.
Do not request the code more than 5 times within 24 hours — requesting it more than 5 times may result in a 24-hour block.
Do not forward the code through the same Telegram account that received it — otherwise Telegram’s security system will invalidate it. Send the code via screenshot or through another messenger.

Block the chat in Scenario Dialogs (the message will not be delivered to ChatApp and therefore will not be delivered to the CRM).
Open the chat → click the three dots in the upper right corner → select “Block chat”. -
To block a chat in Bitrix24, block the dialog in the CRM settings.

To block a chat in amoCRM:
Go to Settings → Open ChatApp Settings → Add the contact to the blacklist (phone / username / dialog ID). -
Disable the unnecessary group in Scenario Dialogs according to the instructions — messages will stop coming specifically from that group.
You are not a group administrator;
The user previously left the group;
The user has blocked you;
The user has restricted group invitations. To invite a client to a chat, the user must change the setting in “Privacy” → “Groups” → “Who can add me to groups” to “Everyone”.
If you move a chat to the archive, it will return to the main list when new messages arrive.
To prevent this, disable notifications in the Telegram chat settings:
open the chat → tap the name → “Notifications” → “Disable forever”.
Step 1. Go to @SpamBot — the bot will show whether there are restrictions.
Step 2. Check whether there were violations on your side.
Step 3. In case of serious violations, restrictions may not be lifted.
Step 4. You can periodically check the status again via the bot.
