    Connecting Telegram

    In this article, we cover:
    • how to connect Telegram in ChatApp;
    working with Telegram groups.

    To connect, you must have access to the Telegram account in order to receive the verification code. After connecting the line, new messages from Telegram will be displayed in Scenario Dialogs — the workspace for handling chats. To upload the message history of existing chats, perform a chat history import.

    If a cloud password is enabled in Telegram, disable it before connecting the line. You can enable the cloud password again after the connection is completed.

    Connecting Telegram to ChatApp

    Step 1. In your personal account, open the “Lines” section and click on the line with the Telegram channel — the settings window will open.
    Step 2. In the line settings, click the “Link” button next to the Telegram channel.

    Step 3. Enter the phone number of the account you want to connect.
    Step 4. Enter the verification code from Telegram.

    Do not forward the code through the same Telegram account that received it — otherwise Telegram’s security system will invalidate it. Send the code via screenshot or through another messenger.

    After a successful connection, the connected phone number will be displayed for the Telegram channel.

    Done! If necessary, you can disconnect the number at any time — click on the phone number → “Disconnect authorization”.

    Connecting Telegram Groups and Channels

    By default, Telegram groups are disabled. To work with groups and channels, enable them in the “Automation” → “Tools” → “Group Management” section. Here you can activate all groups at once or select only the required ones.

    Unnecessary groups can be disabled — messages from them will not be delivered to ChatApp.

    A group will appear in Scenario Dialogs after the first incoming message in the group.

    Telegram groups are disabled each time the account is logged out on the line. After reauthorization or relinking the number, the groups must be enabled again.
